Jessica Chastain Cast as Cruise Love Curiosity about Sci-Fi Pic
Fresh off her strong performance within the Help, Jessica Chastain has nabbed the feminine lead opposite Tom Cruise in Universal's untitled sci-fi project being directed by Tron Legacy director Frederick Kosinski. Peter Chernin and Dylan Clark will produce through Chernin Entertainment alongside Craig Levine. A Earthbound repairman whose job it's to operate on drones that fight alien existence forms meets a lady who forces him to question his world view. Chastain will have Cruise's lover and partner, who tethers him around the world over the clouds as they's doing repairwork. She becomes none-too-happy when she finds out he's fallen for anther lady. Jesse Berger and Dork Morrison are executive creating. Peter Cramer and Sara Scott are managing the work for the studio. Chastain continues to be on the tear since nabbing the role of Kaira Pitt's wife in Terrence Mallick's The Tree of Existence. On the top to be among the standouts in DreamWorks' hit drama Help, Chastain has Texas Killing Fields, with Mike Worthington and Chloe Moretz, and also the Wettest County, with Shia LaBeouf and Tom Sturdy, within the can.
